Our Team + OUR FOCUS

Bayview has an experienced, qualified and dedicated Ministry Team. In addition to their involvement in church life, our key staff and team come from a range of backgrounds including: education, health care, local government, the not-for-profit and business sector. Our Ministry Team is supported and accountable to our Leadership Community.   

  • Toby Baxter + Senior Pastor

    Toby has 30 years of experience in community work with people doing life tough and has helped mobilise over 3,000 community mentors to work with vulnerable people. He is the co-founder of COACH Community Mentoring and Empowered Faith Communities ministries which, when combined, have multiplied into just over 200 communities across Australia and the UK. 

    He is an ordained pastor as well as a registered Australian Social Worker. Toby has a Masters in Ministry and Post-Graduate Certificate in Divinity as well as honours degrees in Social Work and Urban Economics.  In his spare time, he loves to kayak, read history and run.

  • ClInt Bevis + Young Adults, Life Groups

    My better half is my wife Katrina and we have three amazing children. In our spare time you will find us out in God’s creation, camping, hiking and surfing….yew. As far as work goes, I am a Myotherapist and I’m also studying a Bachelor of Theology which has allowed me to begin my intern-ship here at Bayview which I’m stoked about

    I am married to Lorna have two daughters and a son as well as a boxer dog called Benji.
    I am a qualified Youth Worker and work with local young people on the Mornington Peninsula. When I'm not working I enjoy producing music and playing golf. 

  • Lyn Edwards + Pastoral Care

    With a background in Palliative Care nursing, I’ve always had a passion for an holistic approach to the needs of people from all walks of life.
    I am invigorated doing life with our adorable family, enjoying valued friendships, craft, reading, singing in a local choir, caravanning the great outdoors with my husband David, OS travel with a purpose & worshiping God through music.

  • Ted & Marge Keating + Pastors Emeritus

    Ted & Marge came out of retirement to bring together two congregations in decline to form Bayview Church. In recognition of their tireless service and founding role, Bayview formally acknowledged them as Pastors Emeritus on their second retirement on January 29, 2017. Read our Church Council's letter to the congregation outlining their honorary title of Pastors Emeritus.

Bayview is a church where lives are transformed. We help people become the best 'me' they can possibly be.

Bayview Care is the community engagement of arm of Bayview Church. Bayview Care provides a range of support services to families and young people based on the southern Mornington Peninsula. Our mission is to assist individuals and families develop the skills and gain the support they need to create successful futures. Our programs currently include: 

  • Bounce Back // an affordable housing program for families at risk of domestic violence or homelessness
  • COACH // a community mentoring program for individuals, families and young people
  • Rosebud Early Learning // a 92 place child care centre
  • MusicTime // a music program for infants and pre-school aged children and their families
  • Breakfast Club // providing free breakfasts to students at Rosebud Secondary College
  • Community Training // relationship, parenting, budgeting and life-skill seminars and workshops
  • The Tribe // a safe space for young people from the local to hang out  
  • Food Relief // meals for people in need and resourcing other food cooperatives on the southern Peninsula  
  • Fitness Class // a weekly exercise program

Our programs are accessible to all members of the community regardless of their race, gender, cultural, religious background or sexual orientation.
